Irish Soda Bread

350 degrees/1-1 1/2 hours

5 C Flour
1 C Sugar
1 Tblsp Baking Powder
1 1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1/2 C Butter, room temperature and cut into cubes
2 1/2 C Raisins
3 Tblsp Caraway Seeds
2 1/2 Buttermilk
1 Egg

Butter a 10-12” skillet that is about 2-2½” high. (I used my cast iron pan). Mix first 5 ingredients together, add butter and mix by hand till crumbly. Stir in raisins and caraway seeds. Mix buttermilk and egg together, add to dough. Shape into ball and place in pan. You can split dough for 2 loaves if you wish.  THE DOUGH WILL BE STICKY.
