Guild Calendar

All guild meetings and workshops are held by Zoom unless stated otherwise.  Email Carolyn Boice (her email is in the Membership list) with any questions or to sign up for workshops.

Guild meetings run from 10am to approximately 11am.  Presentations (if any) follow immediately and generally run from 11-ish to 12-ish.  Lunch and programs follow from approximately 12:30 – 3:30pm.  Any special meetings (Board, Quilt Show, etc) are from 9am – 10am.  Any changes for a particular workshop or meeting will be noted in the calendar for that event.

There is a special interest group called Historical Miniatures.  The meetings are via Zoom on Saturdays.   Meetings are held at:

Sheers to You | 1 day (all levels)

Her workshop, which will be all afternoon, but does not require a sewing machine, will be Sheer Organza Irises –“ Sheer fabrics are the building blocks for a translucent, shimmering still life that will glow and sparkle while adding depth to your fiber art piece. Create colorful irises and see the possibilities when new shapes and colors are created by simply overlapping transparent fabrics. Various manipulation techniques will be incorporated to make a “WOW” still life.
Workshop Fee:  $40.00
Kit fee: $35.00.

Fusing class - No sewing machine required
Sheer fabrics are the building blocks for a translucent shimmering still life that will glow and sparkle while adding depth to your fiber art piece. Create crystal goblets and bottles and see the possibilities when new shapes and colors are created by simply overlapping transparent fabrics. Mono-printing and various manipulation techniques will be incorporated to make a "WOW" still life.

1.  Fat quarter white cotton fabric
2.  Small 18mm rotary cutter (or 14mm) small rotary is important, with sharp blade
3.   Small embroidery scissors
4.  Cutting mat
5.  Iron and board (5 for the room will do)
6.  Sharp pencil
7.  Black sharpie marker, fine
8.  A few straight pins
9.  Glue stick
10.  Tweezers
11.  Package Mistyfuse - 2.5 yds.
12.  Small appliqué iron
13. Extension cord
