Pillowcase Party

September 27, 2017

A Case for Smiles is hosting our second "pillowcase party" at Grace Church in September.  The first one was in March, where about a dozen and a half guild members and Kohl's Associates made DOZENS of pillowcases (and had lots of fun).
September is Case for Smiles MOPS (Miles of Pillowcase Smiles) event.  The national goal is 44000 pillowcases, one for each child in treatment.  Our chapter goal is 1000, which we've done before, and hope to do again!
On Wed. Sept. 27th from 10-2 at Grace Church we'll be joined again by Kohl's Associates to make pillowcases for kids in Albany Med, Ronald McDonald House, VA hospital (adults here!), and other area facilities.
Pillowcase kits, cut and ready to sew, will be provided along with chocolate.  We will also have a few ironing boards and irons, but if you have a portable one, bring it along.  We will also have a few cutting mats and cutters, but if you have a favorite and want to tote it along please do.
Bring your lunch, beverage, and the usual sewing suspects:  machine, pins, thread, thread snips.  We provide the chocolate.  You provide the fun!
Please contact Linda Armour (her contact info is in the members only section or your membership booklet) with any questions and/or your RSVP to save your seat.  I hope to see you there!
