Jessica Skultety ("Skull-Teddy"), a quilter based in northwestern New Jersey. I've been making quilts for 7 years, and I'm a sewing and quilting teacher, lecturer, pattern designer, and writer of a bi-monthly modern quilting newsletter, The Wonky Press. Currently, I'm writing a book with Stash Books (C&T Publishing). I'm also the former President (2 years), VP (1 year), and Webmaster (3 years) of the nonprofit Central Jersey Modern Quilt Guild. My main techniques are improvisational piecing with a plan (both angles and curves), free motion quilting on my domestic machine (Janome MC 6300, also known as Elsa), modernizing traditional quilt blocks, and mixing prints from different fabric lines with solids.
